Struggles of the Laundromat

I don't know about anyone else but I struggle constantly to make sure my clothes are DRY at the laundry mat. Actually, I have more problems doing laundry using my apartment complex's dryer than anything else...

But here's the thing: Why is it that there are three settings for drying but in all reality only one setting works?? Why have three settings if only one setting (usually HIGH) will be the only setting to actually DRY your laundry? However, in the processing of drying on HIGH it shrinks every beautiful article of clothing you own making you regret your decision of ever using laundromat dryers even though they're really your only option so you can do laundry and not be some smelly cretin roaming the Earth.

Maybe it's just the 1950's woman coming out of me but it's seriously frustrating trying to clean and dry my laundry without any of it shrinking, fading, getting lost, etc.

If I could change anything it would be that apartment complexes (even laundromats) updated their dryers. I'd pay a little bit more to be quite honest. I may even enjoy doing laundry more often. Perhaps I'm just doing laundry wrong. That's probably the case but even so it's annoying as all get out trying to get everything dry and you put on your nice clean clothes and they don't fit right anymore. I never had this problem using my mother's dryer. Perhaps it's because it's my mother's dryer and mom dryers are simply better because their your mom's BUT... I'm trying to adult and the struggle of using public dryers is real. Everything shrinks. Even when I'm using fabric softener designed to help prevent shrinking.

Anyway, my rant is over.

Until next time!
